Rondo brillante (2017) is a transcription of the third movement (originally titled "Vivo") of an earlier work, the Sonatina, "from the Oread" for piano (2014). This short, exciting piece is flashy and demanding for both horn and marimba, characterized by alternating sentiments of reserve, dance, charm, aggression, and joy.
